Rotation projects will be assigned, and you will be provided with a mentor. Once you join the lab, you will have the flexibility to pursue your research interests in either or both focus areas.
Positions are available for highly motivated graduate students in the Stanford Bioscience program.

Rotation projects for graduate students:
Project 1: Structure and Function of a Borrelia burgdorferi lipoprotein
This project will involve:
Overexpression of lipoproteins using the E. coli expression system.
Investigation of the structure and function of these proteins using biophysical tools, including X-ray crystallography and cryoEM.
Project 2: Development of a novel lipoprotein-based material
This project will involve:
Overexpression of lipoproteins using E. coli expression system
Characterization of the biomaterial using biophysical tools, including cryoEM, negative stain TEM, nanoDSF and DLS
